Italian Espresso Cups

Blomus Kumi ceramic espresso cups with saucers - a set of 2 is perfect for after-dinner espresso or a morning treat. The tabletop range features typical Japanese shapes in natural colors, and in addition to typical tabletop items, also includes traditional Japanese items such as a small bowl for soy sauce and the characteristic tea mug without a handle. It is created with the Japanese process of reactive glazing, which comes out differently with every firing and reacts to the slightest variations of oxygen in the kiln. True to the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi, in which beauty is found only in the imperfect, the pieces will feature slight variances such as dots or irregularities which are part of the reactive glazing process. These characteristics of each piece are considered traits of the object's personality and lend to its sophistication. Kumi is a Japanese word meaning eternal beauty. Colors complement one another beautifully and can be mixed for a stunning presentation.

Nice Gift: This espresso cups set of 2 comes in a beautiful box, making it the perfect gift for friends and family.

These are unique “espresso” cups. I have a regular size espresso mug in the picture for reference. These are a little larger, obviously holding 8oz vs. the normal 4oz. I plan on using them for espresso tonics. The glass feels a little fragile. The wood ring will come off for cleaning but I bet after a few times, it may break.. Candice. Roswell, GA. Fri Aug 29 2025

Copper does something to a small cup that few other metals manage, looking warm and feeling cool at the same time. Scaled for espresso or a short pour, this one sits easily in the hand or on a saucer. Keep it out where it can be seen, because metal like this rewards being part of the room.

This set is always on my table. I love it and my guests enjoy sipping from it as well. It's quality is amazing: somehow a small chunk (much bigger than a chip) somehow broke off a saucer when a clumsy visitor was admiring it. She has not been invited back. I do hope to replace it...someday. Hope. Chicago, IL. Sun Oct 18 2026

A silicone vent at the base of each double-walled latte mug equalizes the air pressure between the two layers of glass when either hot or cold liquid is added. Permeable only to air, never water, the vent enhances durability and will never allow liquids to enter between the two layers.
