These are really sturdy. The legs are wood but they have two metal square pieces that support the legs. Seats are super comfortable. These counter height swivel bar stools were very easy to put together (maybe about 15-20 minutes each) and they fit perfectly under my island. These bar stools are very mid century modern retro.  From the curved wood legs and arm chair lines to the blue chenille fabric shell back seat, all around gives that mid century vibe.  The directions on how to put them together were not in the box, but thankfully it was very easy to figure out.   I purchased these as an open box item and I could be happier about the deal I got and the quality of the stools.  They were brand new and looked like they had never been opened.  They are very stable and comfortable.  I was a bit concerned with how firm the seat was to begin with, but after a week of use the seat is starting to give enough to feel comfortable.  The seat backs were comfortable from the very beginning.  The swivel is very smooth and swivels a fil 360.  Overall I am thrilled with this purchase and very happy I got them at a third of the price. Putting the legs together (first step) was slightly tricky, but every step after went smoothly. The holes for screws are perfectly machined, nicely thought out assembly design. The swivel seats rotate is smooth as can be. In choosing the height for a 36 inch high counter I felt there needed to be something in between the 25 inch and 30 inch stool. I recommend them 100 We encountered a few problems assembling them— the holes on the back rest of one of them, didn’t aligned with the wood and we had to take it apart several times to figure out why it wasn’t aligning. Then, another back rest came with no holes at All to attach to the wood and we had to create those holes. After that, all worked out perfectly. Made of durable materials. I really love the overall look of these stools. The legs are slim and delicate, so they have a much lighter visual footprint than most similar bar stools, and the upholstered seats are comfortable. Unfortunately, I did have some quality/alignment issues. After assembling two stools, the footrests weren’t completely straight, the seats sat slightly crooked, and one stool had a noticeable wobble. Assembly itself was very simple (another bonus), so these seemed to be manufacturing/alignment issues rather than assembly problems.
