I am very happy with this hood. The quality of build seems solid, installation instructions were very clear, and it I think it looks great. It takes some planning and work to get it installed. You have to make sure your ceiling joists and ductwork is going the right direction or be prepared to do some modifications. I have a soffit and had to take down a bunch of drywall to modify the framing, run the 14/3 romex for the light/fan and modify the ducting. Then I replaced the drywall, taped, texture, paint and installed the hood. Fortunately it all came together nicely. I was able to held the hood in place while my wife drive the screws into the framing. I think it will be worth it in the end because the hood won’t be blocking the view in front of our cooktop.. Well this is a great product but putting it together was a lot! The instructions were hidden along with the screws necessary for installation. This is a work in progress. I’m so far very happy with the quality of this range hood. The look is what attracted me to it. I wanted something modern but not too common. I will need to follow up with more pics after is fully installed. It is quite heavy so I’m reinforcing my ceiling just to make sure it is very secure. Great upgrade to my older unit , lots more power and suction on fan , better led lighting, very well made unit, 3 different ways to control unit , wage hind in front of sensors to turn on fan and change speeds , use buttons on front of either side of unit or use the remote control. Well I have it out of the box the reason for this purchase was I have tall ceilings and I needed a exhaust fan that I didn’t have to figure out how to get additional pieces or have to build down from the ceiling to close the gap. This fan assembly fit that bill it’s also a rental property and so I didn’t want a glass unit even though I have one like that and like it a lot this unit is more “renter friendly” and safe no ones going to break it.. The 42" Fabriano 600 CFM Convertible Island Range Hood in Stainless Steel is a beautiful combination of glass and stainless steel in a modern design. The hand-blown curved glass allows plenty of natural light to filter down to the cooking surface.

We absolutely love our new island range hood. The black stainless steel with the curved tinted glass compliments our newly remodeled kitchen perfectly. It has 5 different exhaust settings, but honestly, the second lowest setting is the highest setting we've needed to use. And it is a relatively quiet setting. It works exactly as it should. It starts getting a little loud at the fourth setting. My one complaint would be the lights. They started out as being fairly bright but quickly faded to a very, very dim light...and we haven't mistakenly left the lights on or anything. Once we replace them with brand new light bulbs, hopefully they will remain bright for a longer period of time than these did. Installation was definitely a challenge; we had a few obstacles to overcome, but nothing we couldn't adapt to.
