This is exactly what we were looking for and it arrived promptly. The box itself was damaged at both ends and that made it unwieldy to move it safely (it is very heavy!) but that was clearly weight to great for the construction of the packaging. They probably get damage claims because the box is insufficient protection for the weight of the metal. Moving on to assembly, it was straightforward to assemble following the instructions provided, and the lighting is a super bonus for us, but the product loses a star because Two of the long bolts and one of the short support pieces was missing from the box and so we cannot install those important supports. Not sure if we will move forward with use of the product without them, but as far as assembly and aesthetics, it is really good. Although we received it as part of a promotion, for the price currently advertised, we believe it is a good value (providing all the pieces are included and you can ensure the stability and safety in use.). Assembly wasn't to difficult, but did take about 4 hours to put it together by myself. Hardest part was getting the bed slats that go under the mattress to line up with both sides of the frame to go into the holes, but once you figure it out it's smooth sailing. Overall, very solid and sturdy. Stairs are a nice touch over a ladder and the little shelf cubbies make a good place for small stuff. The space underneath is a perfect fit for a 78" couch. This is a nice loft bed set and while slightly more expensive than other sets it is worth the money. This set has the best layout in my opinion for under the bed and that alone is worth the extra cost. It took me about 3.5 hours to fully assemble by myself moving at a relaxed pace. The parts and instructions are labeled fairly well with one extra of each screw. I have not anchored it to the wall yet but it is very sturdy even being on carpet. Purchased for adult use in a small apartment and it works great! Very sturdy and good quality. We had three people putting this together: one to read the instructions and advise on bolt size for each piece and 2 people to construct. It included all tools needed, but please note that the instructions are a tad unclear in some steps and some minor problem solving may be required. For example: the reviews that state their holes didn’t line up simply needed to swap that piece to the other side of the frame, but the instructions don’t specifically mention that potential issue. (This was really limited to the angle support pieces in the first stage of assembly.) Also, when we installed the mattress support bars, there are some bars that will bolt in and are built to accept a bolt, and the other bars simply slide into the cut out slots to support the frame- these do not have the same receiving ends as the aforementioned bars; however, the instructions had us placing these in the wrong order. It was a simple fix of sliding the necessary bars out to line up with the bolt holes, but an issue that should be fixed in the instructions. In addition, the instructions should note that you will require 2 people to squeeze each end of the frame together while another person screws in the bolts when installing the last upper shelf/rail, as the holes do not line up without firm pressure to align it.
