That said… once it finally came together It’s actually a beautiful, sturdy piece. The warm wood tone is rich in person, the drop-leaf function is perfect for smaller spaces, and the hidden storage cane-front detail give it a surprisingly upscale look for the price point. Chairs feel solid and the compact design works well in apartments, breakfast nooks, or multipurpose rooms. This table set is an incredible value for the price. I just moved into a studio apartment and I wanted something counter height that could double as more prep space and a table, plus not take up too much space. The solid wood feels very sturdy, and the assembly was easy. The stools do wobble a little bit but they didn't before I screwed in the cross bars - I think they just need some adjustment or some self-leveling felt pads on the feet. If this were a more expensive set that would knock it down to 4 stars, but I'm factoring in value too - I'm willing to tinker a bit to save some money. The gray chairs look great and is pretty sturdy. However, I had to know off a star because this was the second order of mine in the same week that items came with some damages.
