Packaging was excellent. It's a lovely shade, and appears to be worth every penny. It's hard to take photos of light fixtures, but I shot one where you can see the colors of the glass pieces in the shade in the room. I installed it in my library, which as you can see, is a fairly large mahogany-paneled room with the ceiling in mahogany as well, so I needed a lot of light and this fixture provides it. These things are always complicated to install, what with the wire running up through the tube, etc., and this was the usual. o Pros: Excellent value, appears to be a very expensive light fixture, and while there are others for much more, I'm not sure I'd see the difference. Really a nice light fixture. Installation was straight forward even though the instructions were absolutely worthless. Some reviews stated that the installation was difficult, aI think they probably were confused by the terminal block used to connect the wiring. They were the screw-down type and really not all that common in the US. But, that's why Google is your friend! The fixture is quite light, l prefit everything first then removed the shade for the wiring- add the shade last. I was able to complete the job without any assistance. It can absolutely be a one person job. The only difficulty was with the decorative nuts for the mounting bolts; the bolts could be a little longer in my opinion. Bummed that the painters who.put it up apparently tossed the base out with the box so will have to add something to cover the opening but the light itself looks great.
