This is a lovely insert. It's hard-to-find smaller ones, size wise. Many fireplaces are quite large. It can be wall mounted or recessed, but we are building it a cabinet so it can be a tv stand for a small bedroom area. It has a convenient place for the remote. Very pleased! Love the top of this fireplace!! It’s hollow but looks beautiful. We love the look of this fireplace even the original color looked nice. The other reviews are true the panels chip very easy at the corners but it wasn’t a problem for us bc we wanted a black fireplace. It’s kind of silly we bought this to paint it BUT we loved the look just not the color we wanted plus it was on sale and other black fireplaces were over 1500 dollars so we saved 800 with a little labor..
