This is interesting. You literally have to fill it with air (either outside and let the air flow in or run with it to gather air). Once you do, you can clamp it down and then use it. The good news is once it’s fully inflated, you can sit on it, no problem. It’s also easy to deflate and put back in the bag. Everyone knows you have to have a Big Joe for the pool the most comfortable raft! I bought one a couple years ago, still in great shape and decided I would buy another for this summer. I received my new one and I must say, it is smaller in length, it is not as comfortable, there is hardly any filling in the raft so the quality of the Big Joe raft has depleted considerably just like everything else..
