Thank goodness there was a replacement insert for the $1079.00 fireplace sold by Wayfair. This insert fits perfectly and looks just as good as the original. The stone parts came in one box, the mantle piece in another, and the heating element/fireplace in the third. It was so easy to setup! The entire unboxing, putting it together and cleanup took just about 1 hour. I do recommend a second person to help with setup because it is a big fireplace over 5 feet wide and 4 feet tall. The fireplace comes with a remote control and you can change the color of the fire, the intensity of the heat, the brightness of the flame and it turns on and off with the push of a button. You can also use the fireplace without the heater turned on if you just want to enjoy the ambience of the fireplace. IIt is recommended for use in 120 volt 3-prong outlets. This is a lovely insert. It's hard-to-find smaller ones, size wise. Many fireplaces are quite large. It can be wall mounted or recessed, but we are building it a cabinet so it can be a tv stand for a small bedroom area. It has a convenient place for the remote. Very pleased! This unit allows wood framing and can be installed without a surround, finishing material installed right up to the glass for a simplified modern look, or with the durable 3” stainless steel surround. The unit even comes with a stainless steel cover for protection when not in use. Tahoe 45ol comes with a rock and Black Onyx fire glass media, and a stainless steel frame.
