These are the best lights! We do not use all of the functions that are available. We just leave them to the basic on position. They go on automatically just as it gets dark. You can change the timing to go off after a certain amount of time, I just haven't done that yet. They look so pretty and give off just the right amount of light. These work okay for me, they're cute and all, but it's not quite the "warm white" I was expecting. These are a very clear white. The battery pack at the end of the string is also the size of a 1990's pager.
