Love this bench! It was quite an ordeal to put together but it finally all fit the way it was intended. I would however have put the handles and drawer pulls on before hanging the doors or building the drawers. I am disappointed in the cushion as it is very hard and the off-white is not that pretty with the white wood. The cushion cover is not very snug either. I plan to make a new cover to match my furnishings, so that will solve that problem. This Mercer41 storage bench exceeded my expectations. The velvet upholstery looks really high-end in person, and the vertical tufting with the gold metal base gives it a modern luxury look without feeling over the top. It instantly made my bedroom feel more polished and put together. The hidden storage is actually pretty spacious too — I was able to fit extra blankets, pillows, and a few miscellaneous items easily. The flip-top design feels smooth and sturdy, and the bench itself feels solid when sitting on it. Assembly was quick and straightforward, mostly just attaching the base. I also love how versatile it is. It works great at the foot of a bed, in an entryway, or even as extra seating in a living room. The fabric is soft and comfortable, though like most velvet pieces, it does show marks depending on the lighting and direction of the fabric.
