Bought this double screen door because we were screening the deck at our lake house. We have extra wide steps up to the deck and needed a door wider than the standard 32 or 36 inch. Listing said for width less than 68" it could be modified, so we decided to go for it. I was surprised, the instructions were complete, clear, and easy to follow. (So often you get the skimpy badly translated ones.) With a little help from a neighbor we got 2 sets, front and back of deck, installed in about 3-4 hours. Hubby is a metal fabricator, not a carpenter, but he said it was pretty easy once he understood their system. I would say it's a 2 person job, unless you're a really good carpenter. We have 1 side set as a stationary sidelight, only opening the other side. We'll put some planters or knick knacks on the steps in front of the stationary side. I installed this on a screen door that had a thin metal section at the bottom. It was either this, or a very thick doggie door, which wouldn't have worked well on the thin metal. It ended up working great, but some modifications were required. If you put it on anything other than a screen, it pays to spend some time before installing it to think about what modifications may be necessary. For instance, there are some interlocking plastic pieces that work great to hold it securely to a screen, but have to come off if you're putting it on a thin solid surface. As advertised. Slide in security panel was warped when it arrived and the box was a bit torn in one spot. Not very securely packaged, but I was able to re-form the slide in panel, and make it work. It would be a 5 star rating if it had come with a second panel to go on the outside position which would make it more secure. The aluminum frame is very well designed and fits together nicely.
