This product is an all-in-one tool that provides you with everything you need to know to confidently prepare for the day. The forecaster accurately displays indoor temperature ranges of 32°F to 122°F 0°C to 50°C and outdoor temperature ranges of -4°F to 140° F -20°C to 60°C using alkaline batteries or -40°F to 140° F -40°C to 60°C using lithium batteries. The forecaster also measures humidity and barometric pressure readings in addition to ice alerts, moon phases, and calendar and clock features. Indoor and outdoor humidity and temperature both feature trend indicators as well as min/max recall. For tracking barometric pressure changes, the deluxe forecaster offers a history chart of pressure readings. The base unit can accommodate up to 3 wireless remote sensors and features a colorful backlight display for enhanced readability.

The concept that 'decreasing atmospheric pressure predicts stormy weather' was postulated by Lucien Video and it's the basis for a weather prediction device called a storm glass or liquid barometer. It consists of a glass container with a sealed body, half-filled with water. A narrow spout connects to the body below the water level and rises above the water level, where it is open to the atmosphere. When the air pressure is lower than it was at the time the body was sealed, the water level in the spout will rise above the water level in the body and when the air pressure is higher, the water level in the spout will drop below the water level in the body. Also includes a comfort meter, which measures temperature and humidity, and a comfort zone indicator.

The Advanced Weather Center displays a wide range of information in an easy-to-read format on a large LCD. The attractively thin console can be placed on a desktop or mounted to a wall and features a forecast icon that reacts to changes in barometric pressure, providing a forecast for upcoming weather in the next 24 to 48 hours with reasonable accuracy. The main display receives temperature and humidity data from the included wireless remote sensor and supports up to three wireless sensors. The remote wireless sensor transmits up to 300 feet line of sight (100 feet under most conditions) includes an LCD display, so the temperature and humidity can be read in both locations. The unit monitors indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, outdoor dew point, as well as barometric pressure (both sea-level and measured), and features a rate of change indicator. The handy forecast icons let you know at a glance if it’s going to be rainy, cloudy, or sunny based on barometric pressure trends. Other features include min and max that resets daily or manually, barometric pressure trend arrow, and moon phase. Time and date set automatically, sync with the U.S. atomic clock (WWVB & Dcf), and automatically updates for daylight saving time (on/off option) for utmost accuracy.
