I love the idea that these sconces are not hardwired. I live in a rental unit and I have curtains between the upstairs and the downstairs and that little light looks so charming and I don’t have to turn on the big White. Well constructed “heavier” sconces. Wall brackets make it easier to remove from the wall for charging. I liked that the glass around the bulb screws into the sconces and not just sits on top (probably so you can hang right side up or upside down). 9 degrees of brightness (if I remember right). I have been looking for just the right pieces to enhance the area over my mantel and these fit the bill. Installation entails using two screws to apply a plate which the lights fit over. It took around four hours to charge them initially; I can't speak to how well they hold a charge as we didn't really purchase them for extra light. Charging is as easy as charging your phone and they come with two charge cords. They do have dimmers and a remote. These are nice lights that we got to accent pictures in our hallway. There are lights on both sides. I will say that I thought that one side was stuck powered in, until I realized the pictures on the top indicated which button to use on the remote control. This is a very nice set of battery powered sconces, with a heavy glass shade that is beautiful. Easy to install and throws light out into the whole room be it bright or if you just want to set a mood and relax. The reason for only 4 stars is that the glass shade base on one of mine came shattered and I was broken hearted as I had plans for this set, don’t let that stop you from enjoying it as I’m sure they’re not all going to come as mine did.
