Gorgeous!! There are not enough positive words to describe the quality, texture and overall design of this Schumacher and Mary McDonald wall covering. The texture of the paper, feels more like a thick fabriccanvas material. The “chinoiserie” design is beautiful, it gives the impression of being Handpainted and adds a subtle dimension to the whole piece. You could never go wrong with a Schumacher piece! In artist Colette Cosentino’s fantastical dreamscape of a forest, multi-layered applications of acrylic and metallic paints accumulate into a dark, almost foreboding moodiness. A digital rendering in three non-repeating panels recreates the textural impasto and spontaneous drips.

For a tongue-in-cheek take on antiquity, our in-house artists modernized an 18th-century Jean-Baptiste Huët pattern by seamlessly embedding playful contemporary references—everything from combat boots to to-go coffee cups—into Greco-Roman mythological vig.

A whimsical ode to motifs that date back to Medieval times, this pattern combines elements from two 1930s documents in our archives and is handprinted on linen.
