The chairs were carefully packed to avoid damage. The assembly instructions were fairly easy to follow except for the part with the chair stretchers. That was a bit confusing and I had to reassemble it to make it fit right. Also some of the holes were difficult to align. These chairs are quite nice but the color of the wood is a bit more red than expected and the cushion material, although soft, doesn't seem like it will hold up to stains over time.
