I would give these fans a 5 if not for the one thing that I’m fairly disappointed in. I bought one, loved it so much I bought a second fan and that’s where I’m having my difficulties. I’ll explain, I use Apple HomeKit in house I have about 30 devices all controlled with Siri. My first fan was easy to install has a great fit and finish, looks great works great with Siri with no complaints. So I ordered a second fan, went together fantastically also looks great, but integrating it into my Smart Home not so good. It will not let me add the second fan, it actually says your fan is already installed which it’s not. After Googling the issue it’s a know problem. I just wasn’t aware of this issue until after I purchased and installed the second fan. So I’m relegated to only using the remote control for that 2nd fan. I searched for the internet for several fans this color and size. I finally landed on this Hunter one. I loved everything about it. My husband installed it without any trouble. We absolutely love it. The light is the perfect color, not too yellow and not too white-like most LED lights can be. The only downside would be the remote. It only has up and down arrows and the remote does not have a holder for the wall. We tend to loose remotes easily in our household so that is a negative point for us. I love the fan, but the remote is not intuitive. Additionally, my installer tossed the manufacturer's manual and I cannot find one online anywhere. This fan works very well for our space. It functions as described with the remote provided (no AAA batteries included!) The light is adequate in brightness and the overall appearance of the fan is modern and the three blade adds a minimalistic element. It does not push tons of air down, so if your installation allows for use of the long extension so it sits lower, then you may want to do that; wish we had done. We are experienced amateur fan installers (probably 20 over the years) and we installed 2 others just last month, but this one was a bit tricky (totally do-able for those who have experience, but may be frustrating for others.) Notice in the third photo that the holes do not line up and therefore some manual adjustments had to be made. It was also a bit confusing the way (photo 4) the housing is all one piece, but the instructions (step 11) illustrate them separately. It was a true challenge to get this installed with the rubber fully flush on the surface. We had to buy longer screws that those provided, which would not catch, let alone hold. Once installed, the fan is really attractive and works as advertised. It is fully plastic, but that makes sense for outdoors, especially here in H.O.T. Texas. We are considering purchasing another one for the other side because even though we received the product through a promotion, we believe that at the current price, it holds sufficient value.
