This thing is gorgeous but its HEAVY. The corners are also sharp. I wouldnt want it to fall on a child or myself for that matter. It doesnt light up and Im fine with that. It shipped with batteries which only added to the weight of the box. But thats so convenient. Setting it wasnt hard. I thought this was the cheaper, lighter style like others Ive purchased here. This one is heavier and from the side its nicer looking. Personally, I like the cheaper lighter clocks for hanging. It's a nice clock, compact, taking up little space on my table. I wanted an atomic clock that would set itself, which this one does. But, the display on this clock is not visible from across the room. You have to push the button to light it up to see it from any distance, and that doesn't work unless you are close enough to reach it and push the button.
