When we received the console and was putting it together we noticed one of the doors was broken, so we decided not to send it back or put the doors on it. I was very surprised how well this went together, everything was fairly easy and smooth until I got to installing the door hinges. I figured it out though and it looks great. First of all I love it! I could not believe though that the shelves were not made of clear glass so the lights illuminate both the top and bottom. So I bought two 11X14 picture frames, cheap at the dollar store, and used just the glass and the frame as shelves. They fit perfectly. I then used one of the wood shelves as a base for my subwoofer.
