The bed is definitely all hard wood. It’s not the type of hardwood you could sand and refinish in the future. It also arrived without any broken pieces. LOVE the look of this bed. I have a small space was worried about the perimeter size but it’s perfect not too low to the ground. I was unable to use WayFair assembly service (due to no fault of theirs), so I hired someone to build it. They noted that certain measurements were “slightly off” making assembly more difficult. Love this bed! It was super easy to assemble. The side rails had hooks that slid into the head and foot boards, versus some cheaper quality beds that just use cam locks. Love that! Also came with real wood slats, another sign of quality!! I also love that the side rails had little ledges. The headboard was just the perfect size. Such a beautiful color!
