This is quite a sturdy bed frame. I really like the washed wood color. The built in shelves are perfect. The light in the headboard is an adhesive tape led strip, so not the best design and is a little difficult to get straight and the ends are already starting to come away from the wood. But it is nice to have the light available when needed. I have a boxspring under the mattress that I will probably remove as it is not necessary since there is a good slat support provided and makes the mattress a little too high. It’s sturdy and I love the bookshelves on the endcap, it’s big enough for a frame and to place a water bottle at night. This Headboard is well made. Sturdy and exactly as it was stated in the description. The only problem we encountered was the Hinge Unit to secure the padded headboard. There was no way to use it. Without removing the springs and leaving the springs off the Hinge Unit. We installed without the Springs on the Hinge Unit. It works perfectly without them.
