So far I love these fans. Ordered them together (2) so they would match rooms that are next to each other. The light is bright enough for large rooms, but can be dimmed, It has 6 speeds which is more than my last fans (only had 3), sturdy, so much lighter than my old ones and easy to put together (per hubby). The real wood blades are nice and very light weight. The wind speed works well for our living room and kitchen. Remote is easy to use and I like that there is a timer on the fan also of 1, 4 and 8 hours. There are 3 light settings so you can choose soft, day, and very bright (the bluish type) to fit your room needs. We like the soft one for the living room and the medium one for the kitchen. This is a beautiful fan! To me, it has a clean classic look but with a modern spin on it. The remote control works well and is straightforward and easy to use. The blade span and speeds allow for good air pressure and a wide range of coverage. The only slight hiccup is that the cap the covers the connector unit is held up by magnets and when we turned the fan on the highest setting it wiggled it off. The fan is cute and functions well. That being said, it was not a quick install. It was very hard to install the remote receiver inside the plate cover. The ceiling fan we had you could not even feel it on high speed. We replaced it with this one and even on a low number on the hand held remote, I can feel it in another room. It is well made and I love the two tone with the black base and brown blades. I was looking for one with metal blades, but I do not think it would have had any more effect than this one. This can be put in reverse mode too and that helps to throw any cool air from the ac that rises, back down into the room. The item arrived well packaged and installation was relatively easy. The very last part of install was the light and there were two male connections instead of a male female, but just cut the end off and hardwired it not a big deal.
