Overall impression of cover materials and chair assembly was good. Only one part was difficult to assemble - the Step 4 needs two people to put it together. This chair has no height adjustable system. Chair reclining position need to be set manualy and by screw which need to tighten after seting reclining angle. I am very happy with this oversized 42.5" Extra Wide Manual Recliner. If you're looking for a chair that offers plenty of room without sacrificing comfort, this is an excellent choice. The "extra wide" description is absolutely accurate. There's more than enough space to stretch out, relax, or even curl up with a blanket while reading or watching TV. One feature is it's a manual recliner, so if you are looking for something that is electric this is not the chair. But the nice thing is that there are no motors, cords, or electronic components to worry about, which means there's less that can go wrong over time. The reclining mechanism works smoothly and opens and closes with very little effort. The leather upholstery is soft, and it looks much more expensive than I expected and is comfortable to sit on for long periods. I ordered the pale gray color, and it matches the photos perfectly. The shade is a true light gray that blends well with a variety of decorating styles and brightens up the room. Assembly couldn't have been easier. The back simply slides into place, no tools needed, and no confusing instructions. From opening the box to sitting in the chair it only took a few minutes. The recliner feels firmer than some recliners, which I prefer because it provides excellent support without feeling stiff or uncomfortable. It feels well-made and is comfortable whether you're sitting upright or fully reclined. Overall, this recliner exceeded my expectations. It's roomy, comfortable, attractive, easy to assemble, and operates effortlessly. If you want a dependable manual recliner with large seating space and quality construction, I recommend this one. I have received a lot of great chairs from Wayfair, and this is one of them. There is nothing like a top grain leather chair well made. This is not an oversized or bulky chair, rather more streamlined and modern looking. Everyone in the family tried it and fit comfortably. The side arms are a nice medium stained solid wood that looks lovely with the black leather. I have it next to a dark grey sofa and it looks great. It is well made, and it took me about 45 minutes to an hour to put it together by myself. It was heavy I suppose because of the push back mechanism underneath it. There was a lot of bolts to secure for the side sections. It was all on a metal panels and difficult to match up the holes. That is what took so much time. Also, it was a tiny area to fit your hand in and turn the screw. It was not hard, but very awkward. Eventually, it all came together nicely. It has this mid century feel, and would look nice anywhere. The cushion is a high density foam and nicely firm. I think it will hold up over time. My only concern is keeping it clean with 2 teenage boys...but we shall see. It looks like it can be spot cleaned pretty well, but time will tell. I also would've loved it be just a wee bit darker beige, but it is a nice creamy color (in pics the view from behind is more accurate color in person). Then you have a choice of raising the headrest up while just sitting in it, or raise the head rest up and recline. Beautiful, sturdy, and well-built recliner. The fabric and wood look exactly like the photos. It comes in two pieces and assembly is simple, but it’s quite heavy, so you’ll likely need help getting it into place. I’m taking off one star because of the packaging. The back legs aren’t protected, and mine arrived cracked. The first one I received had a completely broken leg and had to be returned. Given the size and weight of the box, this feels like an avoidable issue. The reclining mechanism is a bit stiff at first and can catch you off guard, but I expect that to improve with use. Overall, it’s an elegant chair that fits well with different decor styles. One heads-up: unpacking takes some effort.
