When I see something described as solid wood I expect the whole thing to be solid wood. The backing is flimsy MDF as are the drawer bottoms. The drawers are extremely delicate I would not purchase this unit to store anything. Assembly took 4 hours (with screw gun) and I’ve built a lot of furniture. There was an improperly constructed hole preventing one of the fasteners working to hold the top on (ultimately not necessary for function, luckily). My favorite part about assembling this TV stand is that the metal drawer slides were already attached to the furniture pieces. I didn’t have to fiddle with screwing them on myself, which is always my least favorite part of furniture assembly. The overall look of this is very nice, and for a manufactured piece of furniture, I think the quality is quite decent. Nice cabinet that feels a little smaller than expected. It includes white wooden knobs that I switched out with others to coordinate with another furniture piece. For reference, in my photo, the baskets are 16” D x 9” W x 6” H as positioned, to give an idea of what would fit on a shelf. Very nice and study tv stand. The tv stand is quite sturdy and heavy so I recommend setting it up where you plan on leaving it. The directions were a little difficult to understand but the quality of the actual entertainment center is quite nice.
