We spray painted metal towers and covered shelves with white wood grain contact paper to lighten up this dark set. Quite easy to put together with two people with half stands propped on ottoman. Did put together top and bottom with holes facing wrong way and had to remove and flip one bottom tower so that joining screws found holes. Very wobbly and definitely anchored to wall on either side. This shelf arrived packaged well with no damage. The instructions were fairly clear and the shelf is quite light making the building experience simple. The only hang up I had was with the back cover, as there are very many small screws and on my product the pre-drilled holes did not perfectly align with the cover's screw holes. Gorgeous linen white color that matches our walls perfectly. Shipping took longer than expected. I ordered 2 of these and each has some slight imperfections from handling.
