Beautiful, very heavy, and solid. Matches perfectly and serves my need for extra cabinet space. I had to pay someone to assemble the island, which I didnt mind. I wish for such a heavy and expensive item, Wayfair would offer full service delivery or at least the option to pay for in home delivery and assembly. The island did have one flaw a chip out of the top corner of the table and someone from the factory or warehouse colored it in with marker. It was small but very noticeable. Its beautiful! It came well packaged and all the pieces were present. For the most part, its a simple assembly. The problem is the position of the bolts and screws. You will need a small space wrench and screwdriver (not provided). Thats the biggest challenge. For the 72 hours Ive had it, it seems well made. It came with minor damage, but given its a distressed piece, it wasnt worth sending back. I was very pleased with the top. Just put it together today (by myself, mind you!), so I can’t speak to the quality long term, but it’s perfect for what I need right now. Took me an about 2 hours to put together - lining up the heavy top was a little bit of a struggle, but i got it after a few adjustments. It’s heavier duty partial board, but the coating on it seems like it’ll hold up well. I purchased this solid wood kitchen island through Wayfair Products Verified, and honestly I thought it was going to be a nightmare to assemble because of all the rails, drawers, and amount of pieces included. Surprisingly, it was actually pretty easy to put together. The pre-made holes were perfectly aligned and all the instructions were very clear. I had seen some reviews saying the assembly process was terrible, but that wasn’t my experience at all. I think this has been the biggest furniture project I’ve done because of the number of pieces, but overall the process was smooth and easy to follow. I’m definitely not disappointed with this purchase. My only concern is the back panel of the island since it feels super thin compared to the rest of the structure. The color of the unit was a lovely soft green true to photo. The butcher block top is wood veneer it looks good but wasn’t expecting particle board with veneer layer. Assembly was easy and able to be done by one person. Waiting to attach to until in kitchen when other arranging is done. For ease of moving piece while storing as the weight is in the butcher block top. Am very happy with the looks of the piece and the solid feel to the island while drawers and doors work very well..
