Our contractor opened the box and found that the sink had a crack running the length of the sink. We contacted the manufacturer through the Wayfair website. We heard back from the manufacturer within 24 hours and they told us that they would replace the sink. However, there is no way that one can separate the sink from the countertop. We called a Wayfair representative and within 24 hours Wayfair had reordered our item to replace the broken one. It arrived today and looks beautiful. I would rank the vanity 5 stars out of 5 stars and thank Wayfair for such prompt resolution of the problem; however, I ranked it 4 stars out of 5 because of the inconvenience of receiving the broken item. There should be quality control in regards to checking an item before packaging it. There was no evidence on the package that something was damaged in transit. We have ordered a lot of items from Wayfair and this was the first time we had a problem. We would definitely order from Wayfair again, especially with their customer support team!. Emily. They sent us a 30" vanity in a 36" package. This introduced a whole host of problems with the return process. First, there was no way to redeem it. The vanity top was 36" and the bottom was 30". So even a reduced price offer didn't help--it HAD to be returned. Second, there was no easy way to return it--returns have to be secured and there's no way to secure a 30" vanity in a 36" vanity box. Third, Wayfair appears to be pretty garbage with return support anyway, so a complicated return quickly becomes INSANELY complicated. It's taken a week just to get to the point where I've gotten someone to understand the complex problem, and he appears to be shackled by 'policy'. It appears to be Wayfair's 'policy' that even if they screwed up entirely, you have to be perfect to get your money back.
