This animal-themed garden accent brings a playful flair to your outdoor space while introducing a charming botanical foundation. It's crafted using a magnesium oxide material, providing a sturdy baseline that stands up seamlessly to daily exposure inside or outside your home. The detailed carving showcases a small bird perched directly on the nose, adding a whimsical layer of character across the sculpted surface structure. It's scaled to accommodate a variety of small flowers, trailing ivy, or herbs to help brighten up empty thresholds. Where whimsy meets functionality, these frolicking Hippo bookends add a conversation piece to your interior space.

A charming heavyweight turns 70. With its open mouth and whimsical expression, the Hippo is a figurine you love at first sight. It’s almost too fun to be true, and it’s easy to understand why Kay Bojesen was inspired by one of the animal kingdom’s most original characters when he created his famous and beloved Hippo back in 1955. Unlike most of Kay Bojesen’s wooden animals, which are often seen in soft and round shapes, the Hippo is somewhat more angular in design with predominantly straight and even lines – yet it excels with a big and loving smile and lots of power and a twinkle in the eye. The Hippo has that unmistakable expression of care and harmony, almost as if the strong wooden figurine communicates, ‘trust me, I’ve got your back’. According to the archives, Kay Bojesen himself had a grey Hippo on his desk. And the round birthday is celebrated with two anniversary editions in FSC® certified beechwood painted in an exclusive grey color – a true hippo color – with the large mouth painted pink. Whether you choose this anniversary version at 9 cm in height or the slightly smaller Liliput version at 6 cm, you get handcrafted quality in a beloved playful and timeless design, where the Hippos with their friendly expression, round eyes, and long strong form will add a touch of coziness and warmth to any room. Use them, for example, as small, surprising design elements in the home, peeking out where you least expect it. The two grey Hippos are only produced in 2025 and will therefore also be perfect as a unique gift for christenings, birthdays, graduations, weddings – or major anniversaries.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cute Safari comforter set is adorable, and my toddler loves how it spruces up her room. She immediately wanted to get under the covers and test out the comfy factor. I like how breathable they are, very lightweight, but still enough to keep you warm, easily washable and dries quickly. The pillow is the hit of the entire thing, she walks around with that all day. Mercedesj. Sun Jul 26 2026

This African roly-poly hippo is one of their favorites and a true character of the animal world! Stretching over four feet long, their rotund, life-size baby land mammal is cast in sturdy fiberglass resin and hand-painted to mimic the rough skin that allows his kind to spend its daytime hours submerged in mud holes or rivers. Position this exotic work of garden art in your landscape and watch him attract the most delightful kind of attention ever.
