Solid desk, feels substantial. Lots of storage. It has a distressed look so the table top is not completely smooth - you'll need to lay down a writing pad to hand write. 24" depth is good for monitor and keyboard. This is a nice sturdy desk. It does take hours to put together but the instructions are easy to follow and very accurate.
