These beds work well for guests in my extra bedroom. One of the slats broke the second time it was used but Wayfair sent a new set of slats and it has held up so far. That may be solid wood, but it is extremely lightweight and came with several marred board places. I'm not about to send it back as the assembly pro was here ready to put it together. He, by the way, was very professional and did a good job. It will serve the purpose at our beach house, but I certainly would not use it anyplace that was going to get a lot of use.. Bac. It also features a powder-coated finish that stands up to daily use.

All of the metal parts are excellent. The machine screws are precise and fit well into the holes no problem. The plastic parts are infuriatingly, cheap, and stupid. I put this together by myself in a little over two hours. You will need a mallet to put those tiny little plastic hateful things into each hole. The directions were acceptable. There are two different hardware packs. One is for the bed and one is for the trundle. Make sure you familiarize yourself with that fact because they are not labeled you just have to look at the directions with the visual and put the labels on it yourself so you don’t mix them up..
