This chair is very comfortable and a delight. Assembly really requires prior experience with schematics and understanding basic aspects of hardware. However, as the pics show, the upper/seat section is out of alignment with the lower/base portion; it's pushed to one side. That results in the upper frame knocking against the rear black glide "dog bone" part. I don't understand what would cause this skewing. I kept all fasteners not-tight until everything was assembled. Recently got these two rocking chairs for the front porch, and I’m very pleased with them. They have a classic look that instantly made the porch feel more welcoming. The black finish looks great and seems durable. Assembly took a bit of time. The first one took about an hour, but the second only about 30 minutes once I knew what I was doing. It wasn’t difficult, just a bit time-consuming. The chairs are comfortable and have a smooth rocking motion. I did notice that the seat slats flex slightly when sitting down or rocking, but they still feel solid and secure, so it’s not a huge concern. Overall, I think these chairs offer an excellent combination of style, comfort, and value. If you’re willing to invest a little time in assembly, you’ll end up with a great-looking addition to your porch or patio.
