This curtain rod is a wood rod wrapped in a high-density laminate with an aluminum channel inserted to provide a high-efficiency traverse system. The laminate prevents the wood from warping and is scratch-resistant, as well as dye lot consistent.

These rods are really nice and look great. The 4 rather than a 5 is because the the finial is part of the track so the draperies don't stop at the end of the rod but go all the way to the end of the finial.
