We source our hickory from the American southeast where it is harvested in late fall and through mid-winter when its moisture content is low. From here it is kiln-dried to further remove moisture and the bark tightens around the logs during the process providing a truly beautiful texture, and a time-tested look and durability. We purchased the 4 drawer dresser and matching nightstand and absolutely love the furniture! It's really great quality and well made. The only downside is that the online picture makes it look more red than it is in person. We preferred the reddish look to the finish like the picture had. Other than that, the furniture is perfect!.
