Just what we needed for our new 12’ x 12’ cantilever umbrella to be able to move it around. Very big and sturdy base that supports the umbrella well. The only issue my husband was worried about was the fact smaller rocks could easily fall out through the large hole screen it comes with in the bottom of the squares. This umbrella anchor arrived very quickly and was well packaged. My husband recessed it into the decking so it would sit flush with the deck boards. He needed to add some blocking under the deck and he used 5.5 inch structural screws to anchor it to the deck underpinning’s. It worked very well and feels rock solid. Previously we had a 30 inch square thick plastic anchor which was so bulky you couldn’t slide chairs out on that side of the table. I ordered a cantilever umbrella that had a metal X base which couldn't support the weight of the umbrella so I ordered this to hold it in place. It took about $15-20 worth of sand from the local hardware store to fill it up. For me the base is SO bulky though. Perhaps this isn't something that can be avoided due to the nature of the item and the weight it needs to compensate for but it takes up a lot of space so just make sure you plan for that. I love something that requires zero assembly. These four pieces came packaged very well with no damage. It was easy to unscrew and screw on the caps with no issues or problems how it fit. It does take a while to fill them up so either use a backyard hose or just be patient using the kitchen sink. This umbrella base is very large , which was needed since the umbrella I got is 13’ by 9’ so I needed a base that could be 200 pounds and this was easy all I had to do was put it in place and fill it up. This is a super sturdy and heavy duty base for the cantilever umbrella by Latitude run! We love that the umbrella mounts directly to the base and we did not have to mount the umbrella to our dock. The wheels are a bonus! Can be filled with water or sand. We chose to fill with water and the design is perfect for inserting your hose into the hole.
