Love these guys, each statue came with its legs separated but they were super simple to put together - just slot the legs into the body. Love this metal heron statue! It comes in two pieces and you simply pop the top on the bottom. The metal is a pretty color and the whole thing looks nicer in person than it does online. It comes with a metal stake to secure it to the ground. If you want to use it on a porch or somewhere else outside where it will be freestanding, be aware that this statue is somewhat lightweight and could be knocked over by wind. UPDATE: The metal stake does nothing to secure the statue on a windy day. It just acts as a pivot point and the whole thing flops over. We had to rig additional stakes to keep this from happening..
