The chair itself I like, it’s sturdy and make of heavy real wood. The chair is pretty comfortable though the quality of the cushions I don’t believe would hold up to long term use. This is in our basement so I think it will be fine for here and there. Why 4 stars The assembly was terrible. The instructions were not clear. They need to provide different Allen wrench, lucky got me my husband had a tool that helped or I was so frustrated. So get yourself the auto retract took or this will take forever to assemble due to the way the holes are set. Also note there should be another step they combined two and it was confusing to the point I had to take part off and redo. It does sit lower for a living room chair too so note that. We bought this chair and ottoman for our house in the Bahia. The delivery was very fast and it arrived in good condition. The color of the leather is rather the one that appears in the photo with a darker tone, but in any case the tone worked well in the house. The quality of both pieces is excellent. The ottoman is a bit hard, but we prefer it that way. The leather cushion of the chair is also a bit hard, but quite comfortable. It’s a good purchase and it took 5 months to deliver. Only complaint is unfair practise. The day I ordered this in Sep 2022, Wayfair accepted the order and next day cancelled the order.
