I thought it was nearly perfect in the design but I think one of the attributes is not ideal. The hammock in the middle is kinda low to the platform below it, making it kinda difficult for the cat the get from the platform to the left of the hammock to the next one, slightly higher on the right. I wish the hammock was a board or higher up. Other than that, it’s really good. My friend and me built it in under an hour. I got it because it’s just about 18” below the tops of my kitchen cabinets. So she can climb the tower then traverse the cabinet tops. I have been thinking about removing the hammock and replacing it with a board. We shall see. I ordered 2 of these cat trees as replacements for my tribe. At first sight, I didn’t think they were going to be the right size as the box they arrived in was small and I have large cats. Upon opening, we found the product was only meticulously packed and everything looked fine. Even though my cats seem to love their new trees, I question the durability of this product. It seems as if the boards and posts are quite thin and that concerns me. I’m not saying they are cheaply made, but I do remember having several more durable cat trees over the years. Only time and use will determine the quality of this product. The material on this tree is extremely thin and I’m sure it will meet its demise before it’s time. I hope I am mistaken and they will last for a while though. Only time will tell. The trees DO although have many levels to perch in and two large cubbies where they can hide or sleep. These cubbies are actually pretty large and my cats are very comfortable in them. The price point was great as I was able to catch them on sale.
