Great outdoor shelter and nicely insulated and seems to heat up quickly. Lots of room inside. There was a slight issue when putting it together with one of the parts they made the holes for the eaves in the front on the inside as opposed to being on the outside. Everything else fit perfect. Our family used this house for our chickens! It worked perfectly for a hen that needed to be isolated from the flock. The heat mat thats provided does not include a temperature dial but it does regulate at an appropriate heat temperature thats not too hot. Our 11 year old daughter put it together all by herself. She liked how the numbers in the directions were hard printed on the plastic pieces making it easy to follow and put together. I would suggest small dogs, bunnies, chickens or the alike as the floor would likely bend with heavier weight. We loved the two room concept so the hen could rest on one side, and have her food and water on the other. The flap does keep the cold air out and the vents help to regulate the airflow when the unit is fully closed. Its a great home for chickens because its plastic, not wood any mites that snuck in the coop would be easier to clean off from this until vs. a wooden coophouse. Overall, Im happy with this home.. My indoor/outdoor cat loves this house. It was easy to put together, the built-in heater works great, and it’s the perfect size for a larger cat (mine is 14 lbs). I even placed a camera inside so I can check whether he’s in there. I did make a few small modifications—specifically shortening the legs—because he was hesitant to go inside at first. My suspicion that the height was the issue turned out to be correct; the very next day, he happily went into his house. It's very well insulated as well. My feral cat had kittens in this box about 4 months ago and has been sleeping in it at night ever since. She goes underneath to lay in the shade, and also sits on top of the house to get a view. It’s cute watching her teach her kitten how to use it. Whole thing is insulated in the interior and made of wood. The wood will start to split in the weather which hasn’t affected it structurally so far, but if you’re handy it would make sense to cover the exterior with a coat of poly.
