I gave the mattresses about two days to fully expand and was surprised at how firm they are. Most "firm" mattresses are not very firm; however, I weigh just under 200lbs and I sunk in about a half-inch. It is a soft kind of firm, not a hard, cheap couch kind of firm. My wife laid on the top one and she was equally, pleasantly surprised. That says a lot, coming from her, as she has a bad hip and is very particular when it comes to mattresses. The mattress came in a manageable sized box. We were able to unbox without anyone getting decapitated. It’s softer than I thought it’d be! I prefer an extremely soft mattress but I needed a shorter (10”) mattress for the bed frame I wanted and ultra plush is harder to find so I settled on this one and I’m quite pleased.
