The drawer has wheels, so it slides in and out very easily, and it’s perfect for storing extra blankets, pillows, clothes, or other things that I don’t want sitting around the room. There is Velcro along the slat area that helps keep everything securely in place, so the slats don’t move around easily when the bed is being used. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. This bed was so easy to put together. It’s great quality. I really like it. I got the chestnut color in a king and it goes great with the acorn night stands I also purchased from Wayfair. You will notice there is a bit of a lip around where your mattress sits. If you are not used to this you may pinch your legs the first couple days getting out of bed.
