Great cabinets for the price. I changed the knobs to go with my decor. The reason for a four start vs five star is because when I first purchased the cabinets the description said solid wood. Then after item shipped I looked at the item again because I was excited and the description had changed. It no longer said solid wood and a review popped up that hadnt been there saying it wasnt solid wood as they had expected so the description had been updated. I ended up keeping it because I needed something right away. Ive had them for some time now and still like it. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL solid wood sideboard buffet! This elegant, mid century modern style storage cabinet is perfect for the dining room or living room. The carved exterior of the doors is unique and unusual. The doors are 3 dimensional with permanent storage shelving on the inside of both doors. It has adjustable shelves interiorly. Please note that because the doors are very heavy, the hinge is significant and is clearly visible on the sides of the furniture. It was initially simple to put together with easy to follow directions and well marked parts and hardware. I gave 4 stars because the final step, attaching the doors, was extremely challenging. The doors, being solid wood are extremely heavy. The directions do not take this into consideration. So……to avoid scratching your new furniture, this is what we did. Lay the furniture on its back, and support the door at the appropriate height next to the body of the furniture with a small step stool and styrofoam from the packing material. With a second person assisting, have them hold the door at the appropriate angle in order to attach. Repeat with the other side. We did not notice the visible hinges before we bought this cabinet so that was a bit disappointing. I love it! This cabinet is sturdy and a great size. I was worried it would be smaller than advertised but it’s perfect and fit into my space the way I had hoped. There is tons of space inside of the cabinet so I can fit all of random stuff that sits near my front door in there. It effortlessly helped me de-clutter my living room.
