The chairs are beautiful and comfortable. Except, at the time I ordered them, they were pictured with cushions AND the description stated the chairs included cushions. I made sure to double-check, since I was eyeing the armchair version of this, and saw that that did *not* come with cushions, so I chose this version instead. While the sofa is well made and good looking, it is not practical. Being 5'5", the back of the sofa is so low, you can't lean back. The pillows extend higher than the backrest of the sofa, however, they are soft and do not support your back. Anyone average height or taller will not find this sofa comfortable. I bought two of these chaise lounges for our pool area to fit a space that was just 6. The cushions are very nice although they are much more beige than they appear in the photos here. They are short but I knew this when I bought them and it was the reason for buying them, but you can adjust the pillow and lay down with your feet haning over the bottom which is comfotable enough. Plus, an accent pillow is included.

I had a lovehate relationship with these chairs immediately. I absolutely love the cane back, and I love the black frame, because it offers beautiful contrast. But the white linen was very cheap, very thin, wrinkled almost immediately, and I knew it would be worn out in a month. The matching lumbar pillow was very flimsy and offered absolutely no support, support that would be important in such a deep chair. But I couldnt get over the potential of these chairs. At the behest of a friend, I decided to look into the option of reupholstering the chairs. I thought it would be cost prohibitive. It certainly wasnt cheap, but, all in, they ended up costing about what a custom chair would cost. This way I got what I wanted. I love the fabric that I picked, and I still love the way it looks with the black frame and the Beautiful cane. The chair is very nice looking. The caning is beautiful and it was very easy to assemble. The height is nice and the seat is firm. But, just like another review said, the seat is very deep and the back is very low. This makes for an uncomfortable seating position. You really must use an additional pillow on the back.. Christie. I purchased 2 of these with a black frame and a blue-patterned fabric for my living room. They arrived a month early, in time for Christmas!. The cross-piece in the front of one chair was knocked loose in transit, but my unobservant husband accepted it anyway. I was able to mostly fix it. Overall the chairs are very attractive and appear to be otherwise well-made. They are larger than I expected, but in a good way. They are made of heavy, substantial-feeling wood. I don’t yet know how the cushions will hold up, but for now I am pleased. I did order some throw pillows from elsewhere to soften the slightly boxy look of the chairs.
