This bookcase was exactly what I hoped for. I ordered 3 and was a bit nervous because another reviewer advised against trying to put multiple cases next to one another because they were reportedly crooked. However, I took a chance and hired someone to assemble them for me and they look fantastic next to one another! The bookcases are heavy and made of sturdy material and add a touch of elegance to my living room. The cherry oak matches my other furniture perfectly. Highly recommend!. Tiffany. Seattle. Mission Double Door Bookcase With Side Shelves - Michael's Cherry (MC1)---offers one of the best qualities you can find on a bookcase, such as its sturdiness, appearance or look, and its usefulness to the owner. Our Mission / Arts & Crafts style furniture is made with attention to detail and expertise like that of 100 year old Stickley. This is made of solid white oak with a medium-light brown stain. It has 2 Doors with glass panels and adjustable shelves behind glass doors. There are fixed shelves on the sides, and this works well as a bookcase curio or china cabinet.

My only criticism of this bookcase is that the right two wood panels that hide the bottom shelf on the bottom (instead of glass) are not the same color as those on the left; they are a much darker color wood, which is not what is pictured here and it looks mismatched.. This classic bookcase brings clean organization to your home office or study area. It's crafted from solid wood, highlighting a smooth texture that coordinates effortlessly with various decor styles. The open shelving provides plenty of space to display books, framed photos, or storage baskets while keeping them easy to access. A fully finished back panel adds versatile placement options, letting you position it against a wall or use it to divide your space. It also arrives ready to use right out of the box to save you time.

The color and style are perfect in our bedroom, however the first try arrived damaged and trying to re-box it in the original cut-apart, damaged box was not fun. The replacement arrived about a month after the initial, damaged shelf and is in good shape. This is the second time we have ordered a wood product that arrived damaged. I like the final result this time though. Last time the replacement console table was worse than the first one!. Ruth. Franklin, TN. Sat Sep 19 2026

This solid wood bookcase brings a clean, architectural look to your space while offering plenty of room for organization. It's crafted from solid oak, showcasing visible woodgrain for added depth and a touch of organic texture. The open-shelf design allows you to display books, decorative accents, or storage baskets with ease. Its low-profile silhouette makes it a versatile addition that fits neatly under windows or against shorter walls. The stackable design gives you the flexibility to expand your storage as your needs grow. Plus, adjustable shelves let you customize the layout for taller items.

I purchased the 3-shelf size, 36" H X 48" wide. It holds my entire cookbook collection and does double duty as a divider between the foyer and kitchen/dining area. Beautiful, heavy wood in the mission style. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the backing. I wish furniture manufacturers would stop to consider that not every piece of furniture is going to be put against a wall, so it would be nice to have a decent backing. The back of this bookcase is some sort of shiny, vinyl covered panel and the color is awful. Maybe it was meant to be faux marble, but they missed by a mile. It simply looks like someone threw dirt on it then watered it!. Gloria. Exton, PA. Sat Apr 18 2026

Gorgeous linen white color that matches our walls perfectly. Shipping took longer than expected. I ordered 2 of these and each has some slight imperfections from handling. Luckily, it's in hidden areas not visible. I wasn't expected these to be already built. Shelves are not easily adjustable because they come screwed in place. We use for our kids' books.. Eileen. TX. This was initially going to be a 1 star review because when the bookcase arrived, every shelf and the bottom of the bookcase was damaged. I changed it to 4 stars because of how great the product support has been. I submitted the issue to wayfair and they put me in touch with the manufacturer, who offered to send a replacement if I sent the damaged one back. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning such a large item so I asked for a partial refund and they offered 25 back, which I felt like was fair. They also responded every time in a timely manner. So while the product did arrive damaged, customer service was excellent and this experience won’t deter me from ordering from wayfair again.. This bookcase is beautiful and looks just like it’s listed picture. I love that it is REAL wood and not particle board. The delivery was quick and smooth. Great purchase! These are solid, quality wood, and nice looking bookcases. Assembly needed, but not hard to put together. The shelves are adjustable and able to hold heavy books.. Richilde. Orange, CA. Mon Apr 20 2026

The bookcase came extremely well packed and in good shape. The selves are adjustable, with multiples holes for sizing. It came with runners nailed to the bottom, which needed to be removed. I noticed these after we had the bookshelf in place and it seemed unsteady. Should have instructions included to clarify removal of them, since they were securely nailed in place. Once filled up with books, the holes for adjusting the selves are not visible. The book case is heavy and sturdy. It was built to order, and recently finished (could slightly smell varnish), and slightly tacky feel. Still, I am very happy with the purchase, well priced!. Frederick. TN. Mon Aug 03 2020

Its extra-deep interior makes it ideal for use as both a library bookcase and a display cabinet. Designed for versatility, multiple units can be placed side by side, allowing you to create a complete library or a customized display arrangement.

Very sturdy bookshelf. Definitely a two person assembly job (unless you’re a man with sufficient muscle power) but once it’s up, it’s not going anywhere. The whole thing really is solid wood except for the back, but even that backing is much firmer and sturdier than your average cheap bookshelf. Highly recommend!. Kelly. Philadelphia, PA. High-quality Oak bookcase. Matches the other bookcases perfectly in our study.. Rhonda. Chattanooga, TN. Thu Jul 09 2026

Standard Bookcase offers high-quality laminate construction and contemporary design. Shelves are thick and made with thermally fused, laminate for long-lasting use. The visible, one-piece backing behind the shelves is made with matching laminate. Both sides are finished. The bookcase features adjustable shelves, one fixed bottom shelf, square edges, and adjustable feet.

This is a beautiful piece actually; it’s quite nice for the price point. Of course the instructions only show pictures with lots and lots of small detail and it’s always nice to have written instructions alongside. It took us longer to put together than it should have. One additional mention which I will be contacting you about is the back of the bookcase requires about 20 drilled holes to receive the final back piece to complete the project. Only two screw holes are drilled at the top of the bookcase, and none of the other holes are pre-drilled. We will have to drill the holes ourselves. Other than that, we are satisfied.. Patricia.
