In general, the bed is solid. Ours only had a few pieces that had paint rubbed off them. We did have many pieces that had no label or were incorrectly labeled. I also had one piece that the holes were drilled in the incorrect place which required me to drill new holes. I built the bed alone and it definitely took a long time, much of which was used looking for a piece that didn’t have a label. It is very easy to attach a piece facing the wrong direction so watch the directions closely to try to avoid time consuming mistakes. My daughter loves us and it’s very solid.. Chris H. This bed took 6 or 7 days to come in, when it was delivered some pieces of the cardboard were broken, but it didn’t really change anything. There are a few scratches on the bed, honestly I can’t do anything about it so it’s useless worrying about it.me and my sisters built this bed in the span of 10 hours. We were stuck of a few parts which is normal I guess, overall it was simple looking back at it. It’s very sturdy and strong, we got full over fully, only reason why I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 stars is simply because of the delivery and a few scratches on the bed, that’s only fair. The bed is made of particle board but the screw holes are pre-made with a plastic insert so there’s no stripping of the wood when inserting the screws. The drawers are on the smaller size so my son uses them for smaller items of clothes like socks, underwear and t-shirts. The thin flimsy layer of particle board that fits under the mattress should probably be replaced with something that’s a bit thicker. Great quality and the drawers and bookshelves are nice and big. The pullout desk/drawer was cracked but it is still working. I was pleased to find out it is mostly wood and not partical board, I have been several hours assembling it and not done yet, will finish after work tomorrow. This is a strong well made bunk bed. I wish they put extra screws though becase a few broke and I had to improvise. My boys love it and that was the dream. The bed itself has been sturdy and the directions were easy to understand. Some issues included missing part numbers (stickers came off bed parts and fasteners are unlabeled and must be sorted prior to construction), missing fasteners (two different screw types were missing, requiring a trip to the hardware store for replacements). The biggest issue was with connecting the upper bunks together. The 30mm screw is simply too short to fit through the slot in the bed and connect to the nut on the other side. Got this loft bed for my 8 year old daughter. Its perfect for her needs. The desk is a little small (ie short) but it still works. I wanted it more as a study desk. We live in an apartment so the bed firs perfectly. Its low and doesnt take up that much space. Theres also lots of room underneath the bed to crawl around and hide.
