Overall, it took about three separate days to put together, spending roughly 5–6 hours each day. That said, this was assembled by one person, so I think that’s important to keep in mind. With two people, I imagine the process would go much faster. Once it’s up, though, it is SO worth it. The quality is really nice, it looks beautiful, and it has completely transformed our deck. Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. Solid construction. Not quite like the picture. Screws are black, not gold, roof panel does not look exactly like picture either. Put together by myself in about 13 hours, from unboxing to last screw, not extremely handy but a decent DIY'er. I did needed about 10 minutes of help from my wife to align the brace supports from the posts to the frame. The most annoying part was taking all the plastic off the metal roof panels (Tip: Don't try to do this if the panels are too cold or too hot, you will be tearing off small pieces). Out of all the material I would say the roofing panels look good but are very thin, the framing structure is quite sturdy to brace the panels but wouldn't want much snow to build up on it, as I can see the panels sagging under the weight.. I've purchased several things through Wayfair and each of those was a pleasant experience. This hard-topped gazebo is beautiful now that it is complete and it looks impressive in our yard. We look forward to many years of use. But, it had a couple of misleading aspects to it The estimated construction time mentioned on the item's site was grossly understated. Even with the help of a second person for certain tasks, it took me more than 4 times the estimate in the listing -- and I am pretty experienced at constructing similar things. The product's installation instructions were nicely illustrated, but several parts were mis-labled in the instructions and several of the instructions didn't cover crucial details. More instructions and more explicit details would have been very useful. Some instructions were so ambiguous that I had to try out more than one possibility, going back and re-doing certain things. That is the product manufacturer's fault, though. Wayfair's transaction went very well. They are efficient, speedy, accurate and responsive. One quibble: in the time between placing my order and receiving the shipping confirmation (just a couple of days), the gazebo's price dropped almost $100. This gazebo turned out fantastic! The directions were pretty clear in terms of setup, and I was able to put it together with a couple friends' help over the course of about 8 hours. I love this gazebo! It was not easy to put together, it took 4 of us about 7 hours. But I absolutely love it! It's well made and feels like it's going to last a long time. The 4 posts are not solid wood, they feel hollow and if you look close you can see the seams in the wood where they put it together. But I still love it. It shipped in 4 boxes, and you'll definitely need 2 people to move the boxes around. The hooks are nice, I have 2 battery operated pendant lights hanging from them and it looks great! This was the best option ever to enjoy my backyard oasis. The fire pit is amazing. Larger than i expected. The heat reaches well beyond the Gazebo. My family and I will get to enjoy our backyard again all season long. Also may I add the directions were slightly off on a few things but we were able to figure it out. I'm proactively giving a good rating, and will be back after assembly tomorrow. Good price, and I did some comparisons. I'm disappointed about the delivery. I've had large items delivered before a walk-in tub, custom sofa sleeper and both times, with specific, confirmed delivery instructions - had to get assertive with delivery guys, who prefer to drop these and similar items on my driveway in plain site. For this gazebo delivery, my instructions were to put these heavy boxes in my garage, which didnt happen. The garage doors were wide open FedX never cooperates UPS does. I can always depend on UPS. Ill see how this Assembly goes and then write my review. I'M BACK! Paying for the assembly was smart. 2 guys in uniforms showed up 7 am promptly the day of the predicted storm, and moved the boxes into my garage. They returned the following morning 7 am sharp, laid out all the pieces and had the gazebo built and secured to my deck. Then with owner supervising, the drapes/netting hung with completion in record time at 10:30 am. The gazebo is absolutely beautiful. My neighbor even took pictures of it. We love our new patio gazebo. Instructions were complete. It was really easy to put together. It took three of us two days.
