It's been raining so I haven't had the opportunity to hang them. I did plug them in and test the solar panel, seems to work fine. These are the best lights! We do not use all of the functions that are available. We just leave them to the basic on position. They go on automatically just as it gets dark. You can change the timing to go off after a certain amount of time, I just haven't done that yet. They look so pretty and give off just the right amount of light.
