This shade was a great replacement for the old, yellow one that broke. It features a soft, bright matte white finish. Although it comes with a cap equipped with two holes for pull chains, only the center chain is functional because the opening is too narrow to use the fan chain—at least for my model of fan. We needed a new ceiling higher fan and a decent light in an older bedroom when we remodeled. This fan fit the requirements. I like the lighter blades showing. It is quiet and moves air well.
