This TV console seems sturdy, has good storage, and is the perfect size. Yes, it is a laminate over particle board, but the finish looks nice. I think it’s a good value for the price. It does take a little while to assemble, but it wasn’t bad. My advice to anyone else is to make sure you put a level on it and use your leg adjusters to get it perfectly level before you put the back on to make sure you build it square. That may be why I saw some reviewers saying they couldn’t get the doors quite right. I will say the handles that came with the unit were not a good color. They were practically orange, not champagne bronze-ish like I thought from the photos on the website. This TV console is a great addition to our space, combining a beautiful soft oak finish with plenty of practical storage. While I definitely recommend having two people for assembly, it is possible for one person to put together it will just take considerably longer. There were a few small rough edges during assembly, but once everything was put together, they were barely noticeable thanks to the soft, natural oak color. I especially love the two open shelving areas, which are perfect for displaying game consoles, décor, or photos, along with the two additional closed cabinets for keeping things tucked away.
