Wow, this is a beautiful lantern. Arrived very securely packaged. I found the same item on another (much more expensive) website before I found the exact same thing here at a substantially better price (kicking myself over that one). This lantern is just beautiful in both day and night environments, but especially at night, when the colors reflect on the surface the lantern is sitting on. The solar bulb is bright, allowing for the beautiful reflective design. The thickness of the glass is substantial -- it doesn't feel like it will break easily. This is a lovely lantern. I’m actually surprised it arrived mostly intact. One of the glass sides was not even attached and was loose! A small sliver at the bottom was broken off but that’s it! I was able to secure it like it should be and you can’t even tell the broken piece. It appears it was never secure initially as the part that bends down to secure it was never bent down. How that glass didn’t break further is beyond me. This is a well made lantern. I’m using it inside as I’m redecorating in a Victorian Gothic theme.
