Design is exactly as we expected and reinforcement on the underside is significantly better than the shower pans from the big box stores that I looked at. Ultimately, I could not use it for my elderly mother, who had a stroke on the left side because that side was too weak to use her left leg to stand. I would highly recommend this chair for anyone who has a patient that can stand and support their weight on both legs as even two caretakers cannot make the chair work for a patient who is partially paralyzed.. We turned one large bathroom into two smaller ones. This shower unit is the perfect size for the guest bath.
